The City of Parramatta Council wanted to upgrade and convert Fire Horse Lane into a two-way shared zone to improve pedestrian safety and reduce vehicle speeds.
A striking red, square pole, based on the Multipole 240s Series, was customised in-house in order to support the preferred luminaires as well as other accessories including CCTV, spotlight projector and vandal proof, secure hatches.
The installation of architectural light poles improved night-time safety as well as adding decorative lighting to the laneway.
Some may say at a certain angle the poles resemble horses – which is fitting given the name of the lane.
